1. Overview
Swing Cricket uses your device camera to recognise hand movement and control the in-game bat. Camera analysis is performed on your device. Bytes Weavers does not receive, upload or store your camera images or video.
The game stores progress and preferences locally on your device. If advertising is enabled in the version you use, Google and its advertising partners may process limited device and usage information to provide, measure and protect ads.
2. Camera and motion processing
The camera is required for the core motion-batting feature. While gameplay is active:
- camera frames are analysed in real time on the device using hand-tracking technology;
- temporary hand landmarks, position, direction and movement speed are calculated to control the bat;
- camera frames and hand landmarks are not sent to Bytes Weavers;
- camera frames are not recorded or retained by the game; and
- camera access stops when tracking is stopped or the app is closed.
Android asks for permission before camera access begins. You can withdraw permission at any time in Android Settings, but motion batting will then be unavailable.
3. Information stored locally
The game may save the following information in private app storage on your device:
- career progress, unlocked levels, stars and survival high scores;
- sound, camera-preview and hand-skeleton preferences;
- graphics quality and difficulty settings.
This information is used to remember your progress and settings. Bytes Weavers does not operate a player account system and does not receive this local game data. Android backup features may copy app data according to your device and Google account backup settings.
4. Advertising and third-party data
Swing Cricket may display advertising supplied through Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. When ads are enabled, Google may automatically collect and share:
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and ad interactions, such as launches, taps and video views;
- diagnostic information, such as performance, crash or energy-use information; and
- device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID or app set ID where available.
Google processes this information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. The exact processing depends on your region, consent choices, device settings and the version of the advertising SDK.
For more information, see Advertising and privacy choices, Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from partner apps.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We process information only as needed to provide the game, remember preferences, maintain security, comply with law and support players. Where applicable under UK or European data-protection law:
- on-device camera processing is necessary to provide the motion-control feature you request;
- local settings are used to perform the service and support our legitimate interest in providing a consistent experience;
- consent is requested for personalised advertising or storage/access of advertising identifiers where required; and
- limited processing may be necessary to prevent fraud, meet legal duties or establish legal claims.
7. Your choices and rights
- Camera: manage permission in Android Settings.
- Local data: clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.
- Advertising ID: reset or delete it through Android privacy settings where supported.
- Ad consent: use the privacy-options control presented in the app where required, or contact us if it is unavailable.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise rights concerning information controlled by Bytes Weavers. Google handles requests concerning data it controls under its own privacy policy.
See the dedicated data deletion instructions.
8. Retention and security
Camera frames and hand landmarks are used transiently and are not retained by Bytes Weavers. Local progress remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the game, subject to Android backup settings. Advertising providers retain information according to their policies and legal requirements.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children
Swing Cricket is a general-audience sports game and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's camera images or player-account information. Where a user is treated as a child or under the age of digital consent, advertising must be configured for restricted data processing and age-appropriate ads as required by applicable law and Google Play policy.
If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Bytes Weavers, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. International processing and changes
Advertising providers may process information in countries other than your own, using safeguards described in their policies. We may update this policy when the game, law or service providers change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing.
