This Privacy Policy explains how Bytesweavers (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use PlayByHand: Webcam Arcade (“PlayByHand” or the “App”), package identifier tech.bytesweavers.playbyhand.

Camera privacy summary: PlayByHand processes camera images on your device to detect hand movement. We do not record, store, transmit, sell, or share your camera images or video.

1. Information handled by PlayByHand

Camera access and hand tracking

PlayByHand requests camera access so its hand-tracking technology can turn your hand movement into game controls. Camera frames are analyzed locally and in real time. They are not sent to Bytesweavers or retained after processing.

Game scores and settings

High scores and basic preferences may be stored locally on your device. PlayByHand does not require an account, and this local game data is not transmitted to Bytesweavers. You can remove it by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device details, and message. We use it to answer your request, troubleshoot problems, and protect our services. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and legal obligations.

2. Advertising and Google AdMob

The Android version of PlayByHand may use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or receive information such as:

IP address and general location inferred from it;
device and advertising identifiers, where available and permitted;
App interactions, ad impressions, clicks, and diagnostic information;
device type, operating system, language, and network information.

This information may be used to provide, measure, limit, personalize, and protect advertising, depending on your region, device settings, age status, and consent choices. Our AdMob identifiers are used only to identify the App and its ad placements. They are not secret credentials and do not provide access to your Google account.

3. Consent and privacy choices

Where required, the Android App asks for advertising consent before requesting ads and provides a privacy-options entry point when required by Google’s User Messaging Platform. Depending on your location, you may be able to consent to, reject, or revisit certain advertising choices. You can also reset or restrict your device advertising identifier through Android settings.

Consent choices affect advertising only. Declining personalized advertising does not remove all ads; you may receive non-personalized or limited ads instead.

4. Legal bases and purposes

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, information is processed as necessary to provide the App, based on consent for activities that require it, for legitimate interests such as security and support, or to comply with law. We do not sell your camera feed or local game scores.

5. Data sharing

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the App, respond to support requests, comply with law, prevent fraud, or protect rights and safety. Google and its advertising partners process ad-related data as described above. We do not receive your camera frames.

6. Data retention and security

Camera frames are processed transiently and are not retained by us. Local scores remain on your device until you clear App data or uninstall. Support correspondence is retained only as necessary for support, security, recordkeeping, and legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s privacy

PlayByHand is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. Parents and guardians should supervise camera and device use.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information we control, and to withdraw consent. Because PlayByHand stores scores locally and does not create user accounts, we generally cannot identify or retrieve that local information. For ad data controlled by Google, use Google’s privacy tools or contact Google.

9. International processing

Advertising and support providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their handling of information is subject to their policies and applicable transfer safeguards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App, law, or our service providers change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated inside the App or through its store listing.
