Does this work on Intel Macs?+
No. The app requires Apple Silicon (M1 or later) to leverage Metal GPU acceleration. It is not compatible with Intel-based Macs.
What does the Background API Service do?+
The Pro API Service runs the upscaler as a headless background process and exposes a local or network REST API endpoint — similar in concept to how Ollama works for LLMs. You can send upscaling requests from your own scripts, automation tools, or third-party software without needing to open the app UI.
What custom model formats are supported?+
Pro subscribers can import .pth model files compatible with the RRDBNet and SRVGGNetCompact architectures — the two most common Real-ESRGAN model architectures used in the community. This lets you use any publicly available or personally trained upscaling model.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription?+
Yes. Pro subscriptions are managed through your Apple Account and can be cancelled at any time via App Store settings. You retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period, then revert to the full base app features.
