Photo library access
The app requests your permission to read screenshot images from the Photos library. You can grant full or selected photo access. With selected access, the app can read only the images you authorize. The app does not modify or delete your original photos. You can change access in iOS Settings at any time.
Recognition and local storage
Apple Vision recognizes text and visual labels on your device. Recognized text, labels, screenshot references, dates, and smart categories are saved in an app-private local index to support search and collections. The app does not send this index to Bytesweavers or sync it through an app cloud service. The index is excluded from device backup.
The app processes images available locally. It does not download iCloud-only originals for indexing. Your use of iCloud Photos remains governed by Apple’s services and privacy settings.
Data collection and tracking
The iOS app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. Bytesweavers does not collect screenshot contents, search queries, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or device location through the app. No separate Screenshot Brain account is required.
Apple purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes payments and auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscriptions through your Apple Account. The app reads verified StoreKit product and transaction information to determine whether your Pro membership is active. Bytesweavers does not receive your card details or operate a separate membership account. Apple’s handling of payment and account information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Copying text
When you choose to copy recognized text or a detail, the app places that content on your local clipboard, marked for local use with an expiration of up to two minutes. If you paste it into another app or share it yourself, that app’s privacy practices apply.
Your controls and retention
The index remains on your device until you erase it, uninstall the app, or the app removes records that are no longer in the authorized library or allowed indexing tier. Use Settings → Erase private index to remove recognized text and categories and pause indexing, while preserving the original images. You can resume indexing when you choose.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send and use them to respond to your request. Please avoid sending private screenshots or payment details. Support information is not used for advertising.
This website
These app pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider may process standard web request information, such as IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to deliver the pages and maintain server security. This website traffic is separate from the app’s on-device screenshot processing.
Children
Screenshot Brain is a general productivity tool. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have a concern about information provided in a support message, contact us.
