Image Compression
Offline Image Compressor reduces file sizes by resizing and encoding images with standard iOS image APIs. Results depend on the original image, chosen format, resize settings, and quality level.
Quality Changes
Lossy formats such as JPEG and HEIC may reduce visible quality at lower quality settings. PNG output is lossless but may not always produce smaller files.
Backups
Keep important original images until you have reviewed the compressed result. Do not delete original files until you are satisfied with the output.
Compatibility
Not every app, website, or device supports every image format. If compatibility is important, JPEG is usually the safest output format.
