Information Stored Locally on Your Computer

The App stores some data on your computer for its own functionality. This data is stored in the application's local data directory (e.g., in the `%APPDATA%` folder on Windows or Application Support on macOS) and is not accessible to us. This includes:

• Configuration File (`config.json`): A local file to remember settings like your last used output folder and to confirm if the first-time setup is complete. This file contains no personal data.
• Daily Usage Counter (`usage.dat`): To manage the free version's daily processing limit, the App stores a small, encrypted file. This file contains only the current date and a usage count. It is encrypted with a key derived from a non-personal, anonymous hardware ID of your machine to prevent tampering. This data is never transmitted and is not linked to your personal identity in any way.
• Downloaded AI Models: The AI models required for the app to function are downloaded during the first-time setup and stored in this local directory to enable offline use.
• Log Files: The application generates local log files for troubleshooting and debugging purposes. These logs contain no personal data and are not automatically sent to us.

How We Use Your Information

Since we do not collect your information, we do not use it for any purpose. The application uses the files on your computer solely to perform the image enhancement tasks you initiate.

Information Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any information with third parties because we do not collect any information to share. The application is self-contained and does not integrate with any third-party analytics or advertising services.

Network Usage

An internet connection is required only for the initial, one-time setup to download the required open-source AI models from their official, secure repositories (GitHub). After this initial setup, the application can run completely offline without an internet connection.

• All your data, including your original and upscaled images, remains on your local machine, subject to the security of your own computer's operating system and security software.
• The daily usage data file (`usage.dat`) is protected using strong, machine-specific AES-GCM encryption to prevent unauthorized access or modification.
• We are not responsible for the security of your local machine. We recommend you follow best practices for securing your computer, such as using antivirus software and keeping your OS updated.
